Retrofyx Mobility is an electric hybrid retrofit company based in Bangalore, Karnataka. We build kits that convert existing petrol and LPG/CNG auto-rickshaws into electric hybrids - without removing the engine you already rely on.
Pure EVs ask a driver to give up something real: range beyond the battery, the ability to keep working when charging infrastructure isn't there, and a vehicle he already owns outright. Our kit keeps the existing engine in place and adds an electric motor alongside it, giving three usable power sources - Electric, Petrol, and LPG/CNG - instead of forcing a choice. Fitment takes under 60 minutes, and any regular roadside mechanic can service the vehicle afterward.
Our first working prototype was built and tested within two months of starting. We've filed a patent application and registered the Retrofyx trademark. Retrofyx was founded by engineers and industry veterans with a combined background in EV hybrid retrofitting, electrical and electronics engineering, and vehicle systems design.
Millions of petrol and LPG/CNG autos are already on the road. We think converting them is faster, more affordable, and more practical than waiting for a full fleet replacement most drivers can't currently finance.
We're working through the regulatory approval process required for road use as part of this pilot phase. We'll be upfront with pilot partners about status at every step - this isn't a general public offer yet.
